BEST DARKER/HORROR ANIMES

1. Tokyo Ghoul

If you like: bloody horror, average guy getting powers all of a sudden, vampires ( this isnt about vampires but its the same concept with the main character)

description: Tokyo Ghoul is about a world where average humans live in fear of ghouls. Ghouls eat humans. The story follows Kaneki Ken , a average boy, and he has a incounter with a ghoul. The ghoul doesnt devour him bc a building collapses on them and the both get rushed to the hospital and a unknowing doctor puts the ghouls heart inside of Kaneki. Causing him to be half ghoul, half human.

this is a wonderful! It is in my top 5 favorite animes! I love how deeply connected they all are and how normal they are. I always got emotional when the doves ( ghoul investegators ) would kill one of the characters xc

2. The Future Diary

If you like: The hunger games, Dark horror, cute girls with a murderous side, mystery

The future diary is about a boy named Yukki, who has no friends, and writes in his phone diary about the things he sees around him. He has what he thinks are imaginary friends until one day his diary tells him the future. A few days later he gets transported to a meeting with one of his " imaginary " friend and 11 other people. His imaginary friend is actually Deus, god of space and time and has created a game for 12 people with the future telling diaries. They have to kill each other until there is only one left and that one will be the new god of time and space.

This anime had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! I love Yuno. She is crazy but all she wanted was to be with Yukki! I got pretty emotional sometimes too!

3. Jigoku Shoujo ( Hell Girl )

If you like: death note, shigofumi, lonely leading ladies, different cases in every episode with elements of their story.

Jigoku Shoujo is about a website that you can only access at midnight. On this website you can type in the name of the person you want to be sent to hell and Enma Ai will show up and send them to hell. But here is the kicker, you too will be sent to hell after you die.

I am currently watching this one but im on the second season and I am absolutely in love with it! At the start I thought it was a little repetetive and it kinda is but the more you watch the more its about her and her talisman as I like to call them.

4. Blood +

If you like: Claymore, Elfen Lied, vampires, hot butler guys

Blood + is about a girl named Saya. She cant remember the past year of her life. She just thinks she is a average girl until she discovers the existance of vampires and dicovers she has the power to kill them with her blood. The government decides to come get her and hire her as a vampire hunter and she starts to remember her past that is a gateway to her fate. ( this is good for a beginner anime, the dubbed version doesnt suck. Even my boyfriend loved it and he isnt the biggest fan of anime.)

I loved this one too. It is one of the only ones I have watch all the way through that was dubbed. It had such a good story and I couldnt have guessed what was going to happen at the end... plus hodgi is hott..

5. Black Butler

If you like: inu x boku ss, pandora hearts, hot butlers, yaoi (there isnt any in it but they have a close relationship that makes you want to ship them so hard)

Black butler is about a boy who loses everything dear to him and in his final moments he makes a deal with a demon: his soul for revenge. Ciel ( the boy ) is the master of the phantomhive manor ,phantomhive corporation, and he does underground work for the queen of england. At his side is , Sebastian, the demon butler.

SEBASTIAN IS EVERYTHING!
